Square Wire 2.0

w00t! :)

Gonna go pick these up tomorrow -

Oakley Square Wire 2.0 - Dark / Black Iridium

Here's a really bad picture of me that the girl who worked there was nice enough to take, using my cell phone ... I look pretty lame in this pic, but whatever. Oh, and the glasses were kinda crooked ... but, if you simply tilt your head a little bit, they look perfectly fine. :)

Hey Mavis! I just found the link to your website from TTC. Anyway, I actually have those exact same sunglasses and they ROCK. I love em. Anyway, just sayin 'what's up' and to let you know that I, too, have a blog (actually it's a full website). Anyway, keep it real dude.

Wow, what a friggin hassle this has been. But, all sorted out now ...

Basically, I ended up at the Oakley-Japan corporate headquarters in Ebisu yesterday on my quest for these shades. The girl who worked at the shop there was quite friendly and helpful (and spoke English!! lol) and I headed home yesterday afternoon content with my new glasses. Content, that is, until I got home and realized that the lenses weren't as dark as I had hoped.

Today, after a quick visit to a shop in Tachikawa (near my job) I saw that she had indeed given me the wrong lenses. So, back to Ebisu. It takes about two hours to get from my house to Ebisu, so I wasn't exactly thrilled ... To make a long story short, she was totally cool about it when I got there - she switched the lenses for me and then gave me TWO free cases for the shades, one of the cases is this really cool aluminum cylinder - very cool.

So, now I've got the glasses I want, plus two cool cases - all for the low price of a little inconvenience. ;)

On a side note, I went to the Westin when I was in Ebisu yesterday, to ask for help finding the Oakley headquarters. Anyway, all I can say is DAMN. The Westin in Tokyo COMPLETELY blows the Westin in Seattle away, I mean it's like comparing a Mercedes to a Geo. Seriously - the Westin here is much nicer than either the Westin in Seattle or the one in Boston. So I really think you should give it a go, Tim - you and Sue would really love it there, I think. Not to mention the fact that I miss you guys ... :(

oh yeah - Poppy! Thanks for dropping a line man, I appreciate it! I checked out your site - very cool man, I especially dig the UI up at the top - looks vaguely like a WinAmp skin or something - anyway very cool. Hopefully I'll see you again at one of the CUGY LANs soon, I've just finished upgrading my rig a bit though, and I'm still kind of getting settled in with it here. For whatever reason, my system tends to be a little bit tempermental (stupid SiS chipset, I think) so I might hold off for a couple weeks before I break it all down again and haul it over to the base. Anyway, thanks again for stopping by, and I'll talk to you soon!!

I don't think I've ever leeched so much from one site.. you have alot of cool shit on here. You remind me so much of me it's uncanny.. we even both have XP in our names.. and are huge HL2 fans.. crazy.

You should check out my site and some of the projects and shit I'm into.. I'd like to have a site like this someday but still havn't touched upon css and php enough to do so. Nice work buddy! Keep it up.. i'll be back :)
